Hi Infrastructure Universe,

Greetings from the Infrastructure Universe! This month's update is full of tips & tricks for Civil 3D, AutoCAD, BIM 360 and more, so make sure you check out the videos and new tools section. Read on for all of this month’s news.

Software Updates & Hotfixes

ReCap Photo 2019.2 Update
Readme

This update is applicable to ReCap Photo versions 19.0.0.38 and 19.0.1.9 and resolves the following issues:

  • Fixed issue where the registration process hung under certain conditions
  • Fixed issue where many users were not able to initiate ReCap Photo trial

Use the Autodesk Desktop App to download and install this update.

BIM 360 Glue AutoCAD 2019 Add-In

For more information about how to install BIM 360 Glue Add-Ins, visit the Autodesk Knowledge Network.

InfraWorks 2019.0.3 Hotfix
Readme

This update resolved several issues, including:

  • Fixed an issue where Microsoft® Windows® 10 build #1083 caused InfraWorks to freeze while launching various panels or draw tools
  • Fixed an issue where modifying the start or end station of a roadway that contains a tunnel caused InfraWorks to quit unexpectedly

USDOT Announces $2.1B of Grants

From Construction Dive: “The U.S. Department of Transportation announced two major infrastructure allocations, with almost $1.5 billion for potential, discretionary grants through the Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) program and $677 million from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP).”

BIM and GIS, Together at Last: Next ArcGIS Pro Release to Add Revit Support

From Spar3D: “When the Esri/Autodesk partnership was announced, both companies promised to establish more tightly integrated GIS and BIM workflows. They also promised a more seamless exchange, a connection between the spatial and attribute data typically captured in Esri’s GIS systems and the information from 3D BIM models in Autodesk’s design software.”
